AISF webinar on the application of public procurement rules to sports federations

On 16 October, Gauthier ERVYN was invited to speak at the conference organised by the Interfederal Association of French-speaking Sport (Association interfédérale du sport francophone) to present a topic on the application of public procurement rules to sports federations. Sports federations may qualify as contracting authorities, given their activities of general interest that are not strictly commercial and their degree of dependence on public authorities. Moreover, even where they do not meet these conditions, they may also be required to comply with public procurement rules for certain subsidised purchases that they make. The seminar took place at the national training centre of the Royal Belgian Football Association in Tubize, in the presence of numerous representatives of the sporting world.
